Day 1 - Airport – Dambulla
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide/driver and head straight to Dambulla, a city steeped in cultural and archaeological significance. The journey offers a chance to enjoy Sri Lanka's countryside landscapes.
Things to Do in Dambulla:
Dambulla Cave Temple (Golden Temple of Dambulla): A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the cave complex houses over 150 Buddha statues and stunning ancient murals.
Ironwood Forest (Na Uyana Aranya): One of the oldest meditation centers in Sri Lanka, perfect for a peaceful nature walk.
Dambulla Market: Explore the largest wholesale vegetable market in the country, showcasing Sri Lanka’s agricultural diversity.
Popham's Arboretum: A serene escape into a natural forest preserved for botanical study.
Day 2 - Dambulla – Sigiriya – Kandy
Begin the day with an early visit to Sigiriya, followed by a scenic drive to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka.
Sigiriya Highlights:
Sigiriya Rock Fortress: Another UNESCO-listed site, this 5th-century palace complex atop a massive rock boasts water gardens, frescoes, and a lion-paw entrance.
Sigiriya Museum: Learn more about King Kashyapa’s reign and the advanced engineering of the time.
Kandy Highlights:
Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa): Houses the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha, attracting pilgrims worldwide.
Kandy Lake: Enjoy a calming walk or boat ride around the lake built by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe.

Day 3 - Kandy – Nuwara Eliya – Ella
Experience the dramatic transition from tropical to cooler hill country with a trip through Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England,” and end the day in Ella, a quaint mountain village.
Nuwara Eliya Highlights:
Tea Plantation Tour & Factory Visit: Discover the tea-making process and sip fresh Ceylon tea.
Gregory Lake: Perfect for boating and picnics, especially in the cool afternoon breeze.
Seetha Amman Temple: A temple with connections to the Ramayana, said to mark the place where Sita was held captive by Ravana.
Ella Highlights:
Ravana Falls: A beautiful waterfall and one of Sri Lanka’s widest.
Nine Arches Bridge: An iconic colonial-era railway bridge, ideal for photography.

Day 4 - Udawalawe – Airport
End your tour with a wildlife safari before heading back to the airport.
Udawalawe Highlights:
Udawalawe National Park: Famous for large herds of elephants, it also hosts crocodiles, buffalo, leopards, and diverse birdlife. A guided safari provides unforgettable wildlife sightings.
Elephant Transit Home: Run by the Department of Wildlife Conservation, it rehabilitates orphaned elephants to be released back into the wild.
